You will receive a notification through the app and an email when your download is ready. The download link typically expires after four days, so act promptly when you receive the notification. When ready, tap the notification or navigate back to the download page and tap the Download button. Enter your password to verify your identity. The archive will download as a ZIP file. Make sure you have a stable internet connection and sufficient storage space on your device before starting the download.

After downloading the ZIP file, transfer it to your computer for easier browsing and organization. Extract the archive by right-clicking and selecting Extract All on Windows or double-clicking on Mac. The extracted folder will contain your Threads data organized into subfolders by content type. Browse through your posts to verify they are all included with correct timestamps and content. Check that any images and videos you shared are present and display properly. Review your followers and following lists to ensure they are complete. If you have used Threads for professional networking or content creation, make sure all your curated content is properly preserved.
