Use at least 12 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. Use a password manager to generate and store a strong, unique password. Never reuse passwords from other services.
Go to Settings > Account > Two-Factor Authentication. Set up TOTP-based 2FA with an authenticator app. Save your backup codes in a secure offline location. 2FA prevents account access even if your password is compromised.
Enable Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint lock in Settings > Privacy > App Lock. Set auto-lock timeout so WeTalkin locks when idle. This prevents unauthorized access if someone picks up your unlocked phone.
Go to Settings > Linked Devices regularly. Remove any devices you no longer use. Unauthorized linked devices could receive your messages. Keep your linked device list current and minimal.

Enabling two-factor authentication. Even if your password is stolen through phishing or a data breach, 2FA prevents unauthorized access to your account. Combined with a strong password, 2FA provides excellent account protection.
