For maximum security, verify contacts by comparing safety numbers. In conversation details, tap "Verify Contact" to display a QR code and number sequence. Compare these with your contact in person or through a separate trusted channel.
Go to Settings > Privacy > App Lock. Enable Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint lock. This adds a device-level security layer so that even if someone accesses your unlocked phone, they cannot open WeTalkin without biometric authentication.
Set a default disappearing message timer in Settings > Privacy > Disappearing Messages. Choose from 5 seconds to 7 days. This applies to new conversations. You can override the default for individual conversations that need different retention.
